i. SaveME 999 BLIND Privacy Policy

SaveME 999 BLIND “the App” is designed for Malaysians who are visually-impaired or blind ONLY. This application is designed to serve three types of blindness which are total blindness, partial blindness and low vision. User is able to make changes on the color button in order to get better contrast. In addition, the function of Voice Over screen can help the blind by simply press or tap on the screen to get description of the button you pressed and a double tap to activate the button.

This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used and shared when you install or use the App in connection with an emergency agency such as Polis DiRaja Malaysia(PDRM), Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia(JBPM), Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia(KKM), Angkatan Pertahanan Awam Malaysia(APM) and Angkatan Penguatkuasaan Maritim Malaysia (APMM)

ii. Personal Information the App Collects

When you install the SaveME 999 BLIND, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your registered SaveME 999 BLIND application such as your name, gender, identification card no, address, phone number, type of incident and incident location.

How Do We Use Your Personal Information?

We collect personal information directly when you send emergency request through your SaveME 999 BLIND apps in order to provide the Emergency Services.

Additionally, we use this personal information to communicate with you to get detail information before emergency agencies reach to your location to send the required help fast and accurate.

iii. Sharing Your Personal Information

MERS 999 Response Center (RC) and Emergency Agencies such as Blind DiRaja Malaysia(PDRM), Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia(JBPM), Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia(KKM), Angkatan Pertahanan Awam Malaysia(APM) and Angkatan Penguatkuasaan Maritim Malaysia (APMM) may use your information.

Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations (Personal Data Protection Act 2010) to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

iv. Data Retention

When you register or send emergency request through the application, we will maintain your Information for our records.

v. Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
